They didn’t like SOHCool, I guess, but maybe this is better. And no, this is not intended to be the finished product. It’s just a quick mock-up in case I didn’t describe it well.

Can we make this a bumper/window sticker? I’d put it on my car.

we here at oppo have a dedicated minimum of 3 people who cut vinyl for all hair-brained vinyl sticker needs.

Speaking of which, where does one acquire an Oppositelock sticker?

there are people selling them on etsy and other sites. I haven’ gotten around to cutting one for myself yet. As soon as i do, i’ll post about it and see if others want to by mine as well.

Remove the “IT” and stretch “LEGALIZE” all the way across so the left side of the L and the right side of the E align with the outer edges of the cars.

How about you change the picture to a vehicle running over a bunch of cyclists. That’ll make those suckers peddle faster.

But “Legalize It” in it’s complete form is the joke. You need the “IT”.

Vehicular homicide is not an incentive for a cyclist to sell anything, much less sell something faster.

I suppose if you want to connect motorcycling with using pot, the “it” is necessary.

Perhaps you missed it - peddle != pedal.

Playing off of a well known phrase doesn’t imply using weed and lane splitting.

Perhaps what is well known in your world is different from mine. “Legalize it” as a phrase has always referred to legalizing weed around here. Google seems to agree.

Ah well, I guess I’m too old for the joke. So I guess I should just say, “get off my lawn!”

That’ll teach me not to comment when the office coffee maker is broken.

No we both agree what Legalize It traditionally represents: the legalization of Marijuana. However it’s also a pop-culture phrase, a buzz-word if you will. So just playing off the buzz-word with a simple word association doesn’t apply the original meaning to your new one in my opinion. Take THIS SHIRT for example. It has nothing to do with the Theory of Relativity, it’s just playing off a catchy familiar phrase.

The E=MX^5 shirt makes perfect sense. After all, it is the theory of relativity and it is an MX5.

Perhaps I am balking at anything that connects motorcyclists with pot. Motorcycling is getting a bad rap these days with two stereotypes dominating - hard core bikers and squids. I’d prefer not to be associated with either group, so I don’t find anything associating motorcycling with legalizing pot particularly witty or amusing.

I disagree with your assessment - using the full “legalize it” as a phrase does imply an association between pot use and lane splitting. It was the first thing I thought of and from your comment, it appears you made the connection too.

I can separate the fact that it’s a catch phrase from it’s original intention. It’s that simple, and with people often pushing for lane splitting (I see petitions in my motorcycle groups a lot) to be legalized, I would guess that you represent an outlying point on the average person’s interpretation. Short of an accurately conducted poll, we can agree to disagree. Something we can agree on: I ride a 2011 R6, and I work desperately to disassociate myself with the common sport bike rider, since most of the ones I have met seem to be barely literate douche bags.

That’s probably the nicest way anyone has ever called me odd.

We can agree to disagree - everyone has an opinion. A person’s experience influences how they interpret the world around them and there is no way any of us can be truly objective.

At least we agree that we don’t want to be associated with douchbags....
